It has to be said

(This is a strange digression but someone has to say it)

Every Christmas my mother buys be and my sisters Archie comics for our stockings (which are more of a traditional gift than anything since I only read them when young). But in my efforts to not work I picked up the one form this Christmas and I just want to say...

Why doesn't Archie just stick with Betty?

i dont like archie comics. the kids i lived with last summer read them religiously and i read a few because we had like five thousand million everywhere in the house, but archie is just an idiot and i think both the girls are stupid for continuing to like him. betty is nicer and veronica is mean, but they're both stupid, i think that's a very unattractive quality, no? those comics are frustrating to me lol

I concur it is unattractive to fall for the duplicitous Archie again and again but even so... The whole problem could be solved if Betty was chosen.

I used to work at my parents' convenient store. It was very uneventful. The digests were my refuge.
In Betty and Veronica's defense, Riverdale isn't giving them much to choose from. If they want a monogamous relationship, competition is necessary. Take a look and the other fish in the Riverdale sea:
Reggie? (Jerk)
Jughead? (Ethel's; back off)
Moose? (No comment)
Chuck? Well Chuck would be a great choice if Riverdale weren't so racist.
But they have been making progress.

When my sister and I were kids, she read them like a recipe for her life while I jumped up and down on my bed unable to sleep... then she started reading them to me... I loved pretending to be Betty, Ashleigh and I would take turns being Betty... we both strongly disliked Veronica... simply because she's a snobbish poo face and Archie is an utter moron for picking her.
